No HUD/Toolbar

Describe the bug
HUD / Debug HUD does not ever display (I've never seen them)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start QuickView on a single image.
2. Notice there is no HUD
3. Press "D" (and/or F12) for Debug HUD (per README.md , it lists both F12 and D as keys to use to open Debug HUD)
4. No changes appear : there are no controls, no debug HUD, nothing.

Expected behavior
In this screenshot, I see a Toolbar that displays icons for previous / next image, and rotate counter clockwise, rotate clockwise, etc. But I never see any such thing -- there is no toolbar, no Debug HUD, no matter what I do.

UPDATE

I finally found a way to enable the toolbar: I right clicked and went into settings. I did not know that right clicking was the way to get into the settings. Settings has "lock bottom toolbar" option. Not sure why it says "Lock" as that makes it sound like auto-hide. For me, it never auto-hides nor auto-shows. Toolbar only appears if I enable "Lock bottom toolbar", and even then, the toolbar only shows if i exit and then re-start QuickView.

When Toolbar is visible, clicking "Unpin toolbar" does absolutely nothing.

Now that I have gone into settings and tried various options, now the F12 key does show debug panel. But, before I first went into settings, it NEVER showed debug panel, even if I hit F12 key.

Also, the README says "CTRL + P" goes into settings, but for me it does not do that: instead, it opens a print dialog.

Toolbar Visibility: The toolbar is located at the bottom of the window and should automatically appear when you hover your mouse over that area. It stays visible only if you click the Pin toolbar button or enable the Lock Bottom Toolbar option in the settings. There is a known bug in v3.1.0 where the "Pin toolbar" functionality is not working as expected, and it has been recorded for a fix.

Debug HUD: The Debug HUD is a developer tool. To use the shortcut keys ( F12) to toggle its display, you must first enable the Enable debug HUD switch under the Advanced section in the settings menu.

README Accuracy: The README file incorrectly lists some shortcuts (such as CTRL + P for settings). I will update the documentation to reflect the correct keybindings.
