CoPilot reverts not functional code constantly

Is there a way to prevent the Copilot to revert non functional code?

Typical situation when having non functional code.
After successful corrections you want make minor tweak to the file.
Copilot makes the tweak and reverts to the non functional code.
After correction of the code the tweak is gone.
You can be this loop as long as you wish.

Cleaning history does not change anything
Even days many line of code after, the copilot can revert the non functional code back.

Vesion control is a must with Copilot.

Is there any way to change this non productive behavior?
