[Feature Request] Standalone support and documentation for local Claude Code installation #27

Summary

I would like to request official support and documentation for using the workflows in this repository within a standalone local Claude Code installation, rather than exclusively through the Ambient Context Platform (ACP).

Motivation

While using these workflows within ACP provides a seamless and natural integrated experience, there are many development scenarios where running these workflows (or specific subsets of them) locally would be highly beneficial.

A standalone local installation would allow developers to:

  • Integrate with Local Tooling: Use existing local CLI tools, linters, and custom scripts that might not be available or easily accessible in a cloud environment.
  • Enhanced Privacy & Control: Work on codebases that require local execution for security or compliance reasons.
  • Workflow Flexibility: Incorporate agentic workflows into a wider local development session that includes IDE extensions, local databases, or specialized compilers.

IMO, allowing these workflows to live "where the developer lives" (the terminal) will likely increase adoption and allow the community to contribute more improvements.
